OBJECTIVE: The Level One Introduction to Scenario Portrayal Specialist Course for OPFOR and Role Player Training establishes the core competencies required to serve as a safe, professional, and effective participant in controlled scenario based training. Students learn to prepare assigned roles, understand training objectives, portray realistic and repeatable behavior, operate within scripted boundaries, respond safely to unexpected actions, communicate with control staff, and provide useful observations during After Action Reviews (AAR). As part of the instructional system, OPFOR members and role players create the realistic controlled conditions, cues, challenges, and human interactions trainees need to practice or demonstrate required skills without allowing ego, competition, unnecessary aggression, or unauthorized improvisation to interfere with the training objective. No previous acting, military OPFOR, law enforcement role playing, or scenario development experience is required; however, students must follow instructions, accept correction, perform consistently, work as part of a team, and immediately obey all safety or medical directions. Successful completion qualifies students for approved Level One assignments under direct supervision but does not authorize them to independently design, lead, or evaluate scenarios or perform specialized activities without additional training and authorization.
